Professional Catholic Speakers

Find the Right Speaker for Your Event

Inscape speakers are faithful, joyful Catholics who have a deep understanding of personal vocation and are driven to share the “Gospel of Vocation” with others. While vocation is our area of expertise, we have experience speaking about a number of different themes as there is no area of our lives that personal vocation does not touch. A list of Inscape-vetted speakers is included below.

What You Can Expect from Our Catholic Speakers

Here’s what you can expect if you choose to start the conversation with us about partnering for one of your events:

  1. Prompt, courteous replies to phone calls and email messages.
  2. A personal conversation prior to your event so we can better understand what you are looking for.
  3. Promotion of your event on our website and social media channels (if you would like it).
  4. A professional enthusiastic (in the theological meaning of the term, en-theos!) presentation, prepared for prayerfully by a speaker who loves the Church and adheres to her Magisterium.
  5. Custom content tailored to your attendees. Everyone at the event will have access to slides (if used) and other resources from Inscape that we believe will be helpful.
  6. Follow-up communication after the event to ensure that we met your expectations (and hopefully exceeded them).

The first step in booking any Inscape speaker is to check his/her availability. Please reach out to us here to get the conversation started. We look forward to meeting you!

Luke Burgis: Speaker Profile

An Entrepreneur with the Mind of the Church

I’ve been a professional speaker for over 8 years. My experience as a speaker is broad: I’ve given keynote speeches at colleges, parishes, business clubs, and plenty of Theology on Taps (which I secretly love the most).

I’ve been an entrepreneur for most of my adult life. I founded and led three separate companies in Silicon Valley after leaving a career on Wall Street. I think that I also hold the distinction of the only Silicon Valley entrepreneur who spent five years in seminary formation (three of those in Rome, at the Pontifical North American College), only to discover my true vocation there: to be an entrepreneur for the Church.

My Style

As a speaker, I’m high-energy. I get fired up easily, especially when I’m speaking about things I love. I’m interactive, sometimes funny, and usually thought-provoking. My goal is to leave the audience better than I met them and to meet your objectives for the speaker that you choose to bring to your event.

Choosing a speaker is not easy. I take pride in walking with you every step of the way throughout the process to make you comfortable that I’m the right person for your particular engagement.

My Personal Vocation

My unique, personal vocation is the creativity of God. I think, pray, and talk about it constantly. I’m an entrepreneur because it’s a special way of participating in the divine creativity. If I weren’t an entrepreneur, I’d probably be an artist! (In fact, I come from a family of artists, and I keep finding myself gravitating to artistic entrepreneurial ventures, like wine-making, restaurants, and writing/publishing).

I eat, breathe, and sleep this. I’m so passionate about the creativity of God as it relates to unique, personal vocation that, as I’m writing this, I’m nearly jumping out of my seat to express myself. Every single person is the fruit of God’s creative act. Each person is an unrepeatable creation that started in the mind of God and was loved into being by Him. The most beautiful part of God’s artistry is that he’s like an artist who breathes life into a masterpiece, and then allows the artwork to complete the itself. What a different kind of artist! And you and I are the masterpiece.

I enjoy speaking about the creativity of God in the following spheres, including the following:

  • Personal Vocation – God’s Creativity At Work in You
  • Theology of the Body – the Divine Creativity and Us
  • Entrepreneurship: Co-Creators with God
  • The Creative Renewal of the Church
  • Sports & Fitness in the New Evangelization
  • And many more

I look forward to learning more about your event, and how I can serve you.
